1. Peeling Layers Yields Brief Openmouthed, “Oh” in Art Slant

Aaron Flint Jamison’s installation, Peeling Layers Yields Brief Openmouthed, “Oh,”  is currently featured in Art Slant in a critical essay by TARL member and Hedreen Gallery curator Jessica Powers. The essay challenges the traditional role of documentation in contemporary art, discussing the dangers in maintaining the current system of “objective,” slide-show oriented images and written descriptions. PLYBOO's multi-faceted, experiential nature and Flint's response to its documentation (or lack there of) is put forward as both an intentionally implemented problem and solution in regards to this issue.
